The short answer
Ayvri scenes cannot be recovered, but your IGC files still work. XCviewer is the closest all-in-one replacement: 3D replay over real terrain, several pilots in sync, sharing and video. SkyViz and flyXC are good alternatives too.
What Ayvri pilots miss
- Watching a flight in 3D over real terrain, straight from the IGC file.
- Replaying several pilots together, for a competition day or a flight with friends.
- Sending a link so friends can watch the replay.
What XCviewer offers instead
- 3D replay over real terrain with a camera that follows your glider, on the free plan.
- Up to 10 flights replayed in sync, with graphs and the KK7 thermal map (Pro).
- Shareable replays and cinematic videos for social media.
- A logbook, an XC planner, weather and airspace in the same app.

How to get your flights back
- 1
Ayvri never offered exports, so start from your IGC files: on your instrument, in XCTrack’s Tracklogs folder, or on XContest.
- 2
Create a free XCviewer account and upload a flight.
- 3
Open it in 3D, add your friends’ flights to compare, and share the replay.
Frequently asked questions
Is Ayvri still working?
No. Ayvri announced in September 2022 that it was closing its consumer service, stopped uploads on October 1 and removed consumer scenes and data at the end of October 2022.
What happened to Doarama?
Doarama was renamed Ayvri in 2018, so it closed together with Ayvri.
Can I recover my Ayvri scenes?
No. Ayvri explained that it never offered data or scene downloads, and it removed all consumer data. Upload the original IGC files to a new viewer instead.
Is there a free Ayvri alternative?
Yes. XCviewer’s free plan includes 3D replay, and flyXC is completely free. SkyViz offers a first 3D replay, then 3D is part of its Pro plan.
