Why I built XCviewer
To prepare a flight, I kept jumping between many apps and websites: the forecast, the wind, airspace, thermals, route planning, and yet another tool to look at my track afterwards. It takes time, and when the information is spread out, it is easier to miss something that matters for safety.
So I started building the tool I was missing: one place to prepare a flight, fly it again in 3D and understand what happened, so that the next one is better and safer.
Less time in tabs
Weather, wind, airspace, thermals and route planning in one place, so you spend your time flying.
Safer decisions
Clear information before take-off, so the important things are hard to miss.
Progress with your data
Replay and analyse your flights to see what worked and what to try next time.
An independent project
XCviewer is not a big company. I develop and run it on my own, and it keeps improving thanks to the feedback of the pilots who use it. Pro subscriptions help pay for the servers and the data behind the tools.
